Job Title - Effects Tools and Simulation Engineer
Salary - c.£65,000 DOE
Location - Bristol (3-4 days on-site)
Security Clearance: Sole British National only, due to the specific classification of this role. This role requires a candidate to be or become DV cleared.
Our client and their technology has been pushing the boundary in a defense system development programme that has significant industry and customer engagement. Aimed at developing the UKs first of it's kind, and achieving significant success recently, with several highly publicised trials. Following on from these successes we're looking for flexible and motivated candidates to continue to develop this project into a world class, deployable, defence system.
Simulation Engineers develop mathematical models and simulations to predict the effectiveness of a defense system on a target.
The data gathered from trials and experiments investigating the physical effects of laser-matter interactions is used to calibrate and evolve these models, and outputs from the simulations are interpreted to understand the effects on a particular target.
You will apply and augment toolsets and simulations for immediate and applied use on this programme. This role will be the lead for some tasks...
