This role will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end video production process — from concept and pre-production to filming, editing, and final delivery. You will lead and inspire a small team of Video and Content Specialists, ensuring all content produced meets clients’ brief, engages the audience, and drives impactful storytelling across events, marketing campaigns, and internal communications.
As a key member of the creative team, you will collaborate closely with designers, producers, and stakeholders to elevate our visual storytelling. This role requires hands-on production skills as well as strong leadership and project management capabilities. A background in events is highly desirable, as much of our content is designed to support and amplify live experiences.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Video Production Leadership
* Oversee all aspects of video production, including pre-production (concept development, scripting, storyboarding), production (filming, directing), and post-production (editing, colour grading, sound design).
* Act as the lead videographer during events, capturing key moments and conducting on-the-ground content capture including interviews, Vox pops, and event coverage.
* Bring creative and strategic ideas to life that enhance the attendee experience and elevate our event content.
* Ideate, script, and plan compelling video content to support events, campaigns, and internal communications.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project goals, ensuring the content created drives measurable impact.
* Travel to site will be required.
Team Leadership & Management
* Lead and manage a team of two Video and Content Specialists, ensuring clear direction, creative inspiration, and a collaborative environment.
* Manage the team’s workload, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.
* Provide constructive feedback to help the team grow and improve their craft.
* Act as the point of contact for any video-related requests from the business.
Project & Equipment Management
* Manage video project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring all content is produced within scope and deadlines.
* Oversee the care and management of production equipment, ensuring all gear is maintained, upgraded, and fit for purpose.
* Manage external suppliers (freelancers, production agencies) when necessary.
Hands-On Video Production
* Lead the filming of key content such as interviews, event coverage, and promotional videos.
* Own the editing process when required, ensuring a high level of polish, creativity, and storytelling.
* Capture and translate key event moments into highlight reels, cutdowns, and promotional assets.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* Proven experience in video production, including pre-production, filming, and post-production.
* Strong video editing skills using tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve.
* Demonstrated ability to capture high-quality footage, operate camera gear, and manage production equipment.
* Experience leading a small creative team or managing multiple content projects simultaneously.
* Ability to turn complex briefs into clear, compelling visual stories.
* Strong organizational and project management skills.
* Experience producing content for events, marketing, and internal communications.
* Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Background in events or experience working within the events industry is highly desirable.
Nice to have:
