We are seeking a HR Generalist to join our busy and collaborative HR team, supporting key areas such as recruitment, employee relations, payroll, pensions, and benefits. We have a both a permanent and 12 month fixed term role available, working an average of 36.25 hours per week Monday to Friday. What you will be doing: Build positive relationships with HR colleagues and stakeholders to support Jewish Care’s strategic vision. Manage employee relations cases, including performance and absence issues. Maintain accurate records for maternity leave, KIT days, and health & safety risk assessments. Collaborate with L&D colleagues to ensure maternity leave training is up to date. Provide HR advice and signpost policies on absence, performance, disciplinary, and grievance issues. Adapt letter templates to individual cases and ensure efficient responses to HR inbox queries. Support the HR team with data entry, employee records digitalisation, and creating electronic bundles for tribunal cases. Schedule and prepare investigation and hearing appointments, ensuring prompt follow-ups. Assist with transcripts using MS Teams or Otter App for efficiency. Work proactively to close employee relations cases within set timeframes. Collaborate on projects, such as document management, to improve efficiency and service delivery. What you will need: CIPD qualified within the last 2 years to level 5 Experience of working within a multi-site, unionised environment FMCG/ Retail/Care sector experience HR policies and processes, Maternity leave, risk assessments, health and safety, Performance, Disciplinary and Grievance Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships Strong IT Skills including touch type at speed, and experience of using HR systems, e.g Itrent, Business Objects, and Microsoft Suite including Excel.
