The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping to a schedule, collecting and delivering building materials to sites from building merchants and from our yard in Rugeley, Staffordshire. The role would also involve ensuring plant is delivered intact to various sites, without any damages. Merchants and sites are located within a few hours' radius from Staffordshire. This is an active role based on a construction site, during inclement weather at times. Responsibilities: Collecting and delivering building materials from various sites and merchants Loading and unloading of plant at local yard and delivery to site Safely securing heavy loads and large goods for transport Responsible for assessing the quality control of plant and manual handling of heavy objects Responsible for carrying out daily walkaround checks of the vehicle to make sure it is safe including oil checks, AdBlue checks, brakes and steering etc Ensure the lorry is kept clean and tidy At all times comply with Company policies, procedures and instructions Comply with responsibilities as laid down in the Company's Health and Safety Policy What we expect from you: Hold a valid Class 1 or 2 HGV License, CSCS card, driver CPC card HIAB crane certificate and digital tachograph card Demonstrates a positive attitude Physically dexterous to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects Well-versed in maintenance, cleaning and debris removal tasks Able to work efficiently with and without supervision Able to understand and comply with all site safety regulations and adhere to safety guidelines Experience with plant preferred Chasetown Civil Engineering is committed both to promoting equality and diversity in the Company and to Equal Opportunities in employment.
