Section Manager Location Droitwich Spa Salary up to £45000 per annum Full time days Purpose of the role This is a hands-on role, responsible for proactively leading the efficient and effective operation of the Hydraulic Force department, delivering inspirational service to all our customers, both external and internal, and ensuring that we deliver the plan for the department. Main Duties Program, set up, and operate CNC machinery and other related equipment Oversee day-to-day operations of the CNC machine shop Allocate tasks, monitor workflow, and ensure production targets are met Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. Continuously monitor and adjust machine settings to optimise performance and maintain product quality. Ensure all products meet the company's quality standards and customer specifications. Liaise with the Managing Director regarding production issues and improvements. Use and being able to interpret detailed blueprints and drawings Calculate dimensions Measure and test completed products to check for defects Maintain machine tools and operating equipment Monitor and control costs in line with the business plan Provide customer quotations according to the schedules and pricing Lead, coach, and mentor a team of operators and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability People Management, including all HR related issues Champion safety initiatives and practices within the production area, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements Qualifications/Experience Previous experience working in managerial or supervisory role Previous experience in the programming, setting and operating of XYZ CNC machines is essential An ability to motivate and inspire team members to exceed targets An ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with both colleagues and customers An understanding of the demands of the role and the time and attention needed to produce impressive results Able to demonstrate a profitable and successful track record of delivering outstanding results as well as delivering exceptional customer satisfaction Experience in product costing Understanding of CAD/CAM software Please apply with your CV in the first instance.
