Night Services Assistant
The Independent Living team at Canterbury City Council are looking for a Night Services Assistant to join them.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of Canterbury City Council’s Independent Living team, an important service provided to our older residents. We are recruiting a Night Service Assistant on a Casual contract to support tenants that require a night time reassurance service.

About this Night Services Assistant job:
This role will include regular inspections of the building to ensure it is safe and secure and responding to housing management issues that may arise. Here’s what you’ll get up to:
* Health and safety monitoring and recording.
* Regular patrols of the building to ensure safety and security are maintained.
* Responding to calls from our Central Control team.
* Co-ordinating first response to fire alarm activation, taking on the role of Fire Marshal.
* Carry out welfare calls via lifeline system.
Working pattern:
* The service is operational 365 nights of the year.
* Shifts are 8:00pm to 8:00 am
* Casual hour contract
* This role is site based for the full duration of the shift.
About you, the ideal Night Services Assistant for the job:
Your skills
* Good communicator
* Customer focused
* Able to use basic computer packages such as Microsoft Word.
Your qualifications
* Full clean driving licence.
* Access to a vehicle for work.
Due to the nature of this role an Enhanced DBS check will be required.
