Service Care Solutions are currently working with a client to fill a position for a Senior Nurse.
Our client offers private Drug and Alcohol Recovery services to those struggling with addiction. They have a large purpose-built Detox centre which offers services to clients on a private basis and are currently looking for a Senior Nurse to join the team on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities of the Nurse
1. To work closely with the assessment/admissions team regarding the suitability of individuals for treatment.
2. Supporting the Head of Clinical Care (HoD) in operationalising the Clinical Team Strategic Plan.
3. Deputise in the absence of the HoD.
4. The senior nurse will be responsible for the induction training of new nurses and the clinical wellbeing team ensuring all standard operating procedures are trained through and understood, all requisite training has been received and all competencies are signed off.
5. The senior nurse will be responsible for working with the Head of Clinical Care to define and refine processes and systems, training them through to the team ensuring coherent and consistent delivery of clinical care.
6. To support the guests and complete risk assessments and care plans in a person-centred approach.
7. Deliver care within equality, diversity, and a dignified manner.
8. To ensure any possible safeguarding concerns are documented and to liaise with the head nurse and registered manager with these details.
9. To ensure that the recovery philosophy of abstinence remains an agreed goal of treatment.
10. To create a therapeutic environment where healing can occur.
11. To implement risk assessments and care plans to meet guests' needs.
12. Observe/respond to guest behaviours, which may include relapse, self-harm, or possible medical emergencies.
Requirements of the Nurse
1. Experience in managing wellbeing guides and allocating clinical tasks.
2. Minimally 5+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
3. A compassionate leader with experience in a management role (equivalent band 6 or above), ideally within a variety of clinical settings.
4. Experience in writing and managing care plans.
5. Experience of working in and contributing to a growing business.
6. Ideally, some understanding of the addiction treatment sector, however not essential.
