An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Semi-Senior / Senior Accountant to join a well-established Chartered Accountancy Practice based in Halifax. What You'll Be Doing: In this hands-on role, you’ll take ownership of your own client portfolio, ensuring that you deliver high-quality work across a range of services. The key duties include: Preparation of year-end accounts for a variety of clients, including Limited Companies, Sole Traders, and Partnerships - you’ll ensure everything is completed to the highest standard, keeping clients happy and meeting deadlines Corporation Tax computations and returns - your technical skills will be crucial here, ensuring tax returns are completed accurately and on time Self-Assessment Tax Returns - you’ll assist in preparing tax returns for individuals, dealing with everything from straightforward to more complex cases Bookkeeping and Management Accounts - you’ll prepare regular management accounts, supporting clients with accurate and timely financial information that helps them make better business decisions Client relationship management - You’ll serve as the primary contact for your clients, building and maintaining strong, professional relationships with them. You’ll be the go-to person, offering advice and guidance on everything from general accounting to business strategy Supporting junior staff - You’ll be mentoring and training trainee accountants, helping them develop their skills and knowledge.
