Base pay range
We are looking for a highly motivated Azure IT Support Engineer to join a growing Manchester organisation in a period of digital transformation.
You will be responsible for providing support, troubleshooting, and management of cloud-based infrastructure within a Microsoft Azure environment. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused approach.
What will you be doing:
1. Provide 2nd support for Azure cloud services and infrastructure
2. Monitor, maintain, and optimize Azure environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues, liaising with vendors where necessary
4. Assist in the deployment, configuration, and automation of cloud services
5. Implement and maintain security best practices within Azure environments
6. Collaborate with Development and DevOps teams to improve cloud infrastructure
7. Provide technical documentation and training for internal teams
Desired experience and skills you will require:
1. Proven experience in an Azure IT support environment
2. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, Azure Active Directory, Virtual Machines and Networking
3. Microsoft Azure Environment Setup and Management
4. Experience with Azure monitoring tools
5. Understanding of ITIL principles and service management frameworks
6. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently
7. Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-900, AZ-104, or similar) are highly desirable
8. Microsoft 365 Administration and application support
9. Windows Server Support (Active Directory)
10. Windows Desktop OS Support (Windows 10 and 11)
