Full disclosure.
I don’t recruit for these types of roles much. Being asked is a byproduct of having good relationships with our clients…a blessing and a curse if you will
That being said, whilst I know very little about the job itself, I know A LOT about the organisation, the team, the awesome manager you’ll be working with and the impact that this particular role will have on the business AND the environment.
I’m looking for an Environment and Quality Manager to join my client on a permanent basis. You’ll be reporting to the head of SHEQ and will be charged with driving the effort to improve the organisation’s environmental performance with a view to achieving an externally accredited quality certification.
The role would suit an environmental and quality practitioner who can hit the ground running and is determined to make a difference in their career. If you’ve been in a primarily HSE focused position but have experience and the appetite to focus on environment and quality as part of your next role, that could work too.
You’ll have plenty of flexibility to work remotely but considering the nature of the role you’ll be asked to visit various sites around the UK from time to time. You’ll also be collaborating with a manager who believes in giving people the autonomy and freedom to use their experience and skills to get the job done.
This isn’t an exhaustive list but success will be measured on the following;
* Developing and implementing environmental and quality strategies and policies in collaboration with colleagues.
* Supporting the delivery of environmental and quality initiatives to drive performance improvements.
* Influencing the organisation on environmental and quality matters, ensuring stakeholder buy-in for strategies and initiatives.
If you’re thinking of applying it would be great if your experience included the following;
* Proven track record in developing ESG roadmaps and strategies within a multifaceted organisation, preferably with experience in a corporate environment.
* A strong passion for ESG, coupled with the drive to enact proactive and positive organisational change.
* Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the capability to influence, challenge, and engage individuals at various levels of seniority.
There’s a base salary of £60,000 for the position plus benefits.
