Base Pay Range
Are you a qualified Lawyer seeking a better work-life balance? Oxford City Council is on the lookout for an experienced, proactive and confident individual who can demonstrate the ability to deliver at pace while ensuring the Council’s strategic aims and objectives are met.
As a qualified lawyer, solicitor, or barrister, you will have in-depth knowledge and experience of all aspects of Planning law, including involvement in the development of policy and planning control and enforcement matters. You will be able to provide complex legal and procedural advice to board members, elected members, agents, and other internal and external stakeholders.
A commercial and pragmatic focus, as well as an awareness of the political and corporate implications of decisions, are key to success. Exceptional communication, negotiation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills are also required for this role. You should be a creative thinker who can influence and drive progress and want to play a prominent role in helping the Council deliver its key projects and property targets and aspirations.
