South Coast Nursing Homes is an established and successful, family owned and managed, care home company based in Worthing, West Sussex.
We currently operate 9 homes across East and West Sussex, offering the highest standards of resident care and comfort, 24 hours a day, for long and short-term stays.
Reporting to the Home Manager, this role involves working with an experienced clinical team carrying out planned, proactive and reactive clinical duties.
The team is committed to providing professional, respectful, and quality care within a safe home environment.
This is a hands-on role, and appropriate experience and relevant qualifications are paramount, along with the commitment to provide a first-class service to all of our residents.
This role is a full-time days position at our flagship home, The Poets.

Job responsibilities:
* To maintain high standards of patient care ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of all residents.
* To champion patient choice and autonomy, ensuring that all staff work in a dignified and respectful manner.
* Support and assist in managing the whole care team when on duty, collaborating with colleagues to ensure excellent resident care and exemplary communication.
* To foster relationships with families, advocates, and next of kin, ensuring they are kept informed of all changes to the residents’ physical and emotional well-being.
* To ensure all documentation is completed comprehensively, concisely, and in a time-sensitive manner, including the generation of individualized care plans that must be reviewed and amended as residents' needs change.
* To order medication, store, administer, and manage according to legal, professional, and company policy and procedures.
Skills, qualifications and knowledge:
Essential:
* Experience in a nursing role.
* A Nursing degree or above.
* Registered with the NMC with a current active PIN.
Desirable:
* Able to prioritize tasks to achieve satisfactory outcomes.
* Good reporting skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
* Some experience in managing teams.
* Previous clinical experience in geriatric, frailty, end of life, and dementia care.
