Responsibilities of the Process Safety Engineer
Oversee and assess PS performance by conducting audits, generating reports, and conducting investigations.
Administer an Assessment Programme by employing Human Factors studies.
Counsel site Asset Management on Safety Critical Equipment.
Evaluate upper tier COMAH safety reports, demonstrate knowledge of Major Accident Hazards, and offer guidance to ensure site compliance with COMAH regulations.
Provide specialised PS support and advice to facilitate regulatory inspections, managing the relationship with the H&S Executive in relation to COMAH.
Support the Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) for plant areas by facilitating hazard studies and Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA).To be successful in this position as a Process Safety Engineer applicants will require experience working for a minimum of 6+ years within the Oil & Gas Industry on Upper Tier Comah Regulated sites and hold a BEng in Chemical with a strong knowledge of UK regulations such as COMAH, BS EN 61511, (phone number removed).
