What it's like to work here
Castle Ward is a busy place with lots going on - from our Georgian mansion house, our busy tea-room, bike hire offer and 32km of trails, there's plenty to keep visitors occupied. It would be great if you have a love of the outdoors and an interest in the work of the National Trust. Rotas are issued monthly and our small team is flexible. Shifts are generally between 10am and 5pm, with less hours in the winter and more in the summer.
What you'll be doing
You'll be part of our small team, working together or on your own during quieter times of the year to welcome visitors at our admission point or in Reception. You might be taking a phone query, helping to reunite a visitor with their lost item, giving out a mobility scooter to a visitor or working on a busy event day taking payments and scanning membership cards. You'll help us grow support by recruitment members and letting people know about our events and projects. No day is the same!
