Role Overview
My client, an RIBA Chartered Architectural Practice based in the heart of Kent, is seeking a skilled Town Planner to join their team. Specialising in the use of traditional vernacular architecture and natural materials such as timber, clay, and stone, the company focuses on delivering high-quality, locally sourced designs. Key Responsibilities
– Assist in the preparation and submission of planning applications and related documentation.
– Conduct site appraisals and research planning policies.
– Liaise with local authorities, clients, and contractors.
– Support the senior team in managing planning processes for diverse architectural projects.
Key Requirements
– A degree in Town Planning or related discipline, accredited by the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).
– Some relevant experience in planning, ideally in a design or architectural context.
– Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
– An interest in working on projects with a focus on traditional architecture and local materials.
