We offer a wide range of career opportunities at every level of the organisation. From apprenticeships to senior management, permanent to fixed term contracts or part-time working, we have something for everyone.
Do you have experience of housing management, managing caseloads, and supporting tenants to sustain a tenancy? Have you developed and maintained expert knowledge of housing legislation and collaborated with key external partners through creating effective relationships to support people to thrive in their rented homes? If so, you could be the next Housing Officer here at Warwick District Council.
You’ll manage a full range of casework, ensuring WDC’s Housing department provides customer-focused services to help people sustain their tenancies.
You will undertake the full range of tenancy management duties, work as a duty officer, and provide telephone cover when required in accordance with a rota.
You will be responsible for a geographical area managing around 700 properties.
You’ll collaborate with colleagues in Customer Services and the Community Safety team to identify support needs, accessing relevant agencies for both victims and perpetrators of anti-social behaviour, completing referrals to mediation and other support services as appropriate.
The intention is for the postholder to work predominantly from home; however, it is a requirement to attend our offices or sites within Warwick District as required. Any costs for travel from home to the office will be met by the successful candidate. However, office and hybrid working are also available.
If you have any questions or wish to have an informal discussion, please contact Sue Sweeney by email at Sue.Sweeney@warwickdc.gov.uk.
