The role:
We have a fantastic opportunity within our Water business for a MEICA Commissioning Engineer to predominantly cover the Mid, South, East and West Wales region.
The MEICA Commissioning Engineer role will include carrying out and co-ordinating a number of tasks on multiple schemes throughout the project life cycle on waste water projects
This will include surveys, design reviews, procurement, site installation, commissioning, inspection, testing, supervision, and handover to ensure safe, successful execution and completion of projects to defined timescales, quality standards and commercial objectives.
Responsibilities:
* Reporting to the M&E Project Manager, a positive, “can do” approach, determined to succeed, the MEICA Commissioning Engineer will be able to work on their own initiative and form part of a successful team.
* Ability to communicate and manage relationships both internal and external.
* Work with the Project Teams to produce and review commissioning plans / programmes.
* Ability to complete Inspection and Test Plans, commissioning spreadsheets and relevant documentation.
* To ensure commissioning activities are driven to provide the best value solutions, delivered on time and within budgets.
* Ensure all engineering designs meet required standards.
* Predominantly site based, will monitor progress, identify and resolve problems and ensuring compliance with the programme.
* Potentially undertake Site Management roles and responsibilities if and when required.
* To oversee all aspects of commissioning of the project through to completion / client handover phase.
* Review projects and close out reports with the Project Manager and identify the main issues for continuous learning and improvement.
Candidate requirements
Essential:
* BTEC HNC Engineering (appropriate course content)
* BS7671 18 th Edition Wiring Regulations
* C+G Inspection and test
* Experience / detailed knowledge of Water Industry Engineering and associated equipment.
Desirable Technical Knowledge (training will be provided as required):
* PLC, SCADA/HMI and Profibus Networks
* Pump/Motor starters, Mainly Siemens and ABB
* Telemetry data systems
* LV Networks
* I.T Literate (MS Project, Word, Excel)
* Health, Safety and Environmental systems and procedures.
