NNUH is currently the busiest Trauma Unit in the East of England caring for almost 850 trauma patients annually many with complex care needs. We are enhancing our urgent and emergency care specialist services for patients with significant injuries as a result of trauma and have an ambition to become a Major Trauma Centre.

The Financial Strategy team at NNUH is responsible for the development of sustainable financial plans, strategic capital planning, and monitoring of performance against the Trust's financial strategy. The Finance Business Partner - Strategic Investment is an essential part of the team, helping to support and advise on all financial matters.

Main duties of the job
* Ensure that all capital matters are dealt with promptly and in accordance with all relevant guidance and statutory obligations.
* Advise on highly complex issues and provide corporate reports/strategic financial and business planning advice.
* Assist and support the Chief Finance Officer and the Finance Senior Management Team in the provision of an efficient and pro-active strategic finance function.
* Provide financial and management information to the Divisions and Corporate departments relating to all aspects of the capital programme.
* Provide accurate and reliable information to facilitate the timely submission of NHS financial returns for the Trust as a whole.
* Provide expert financial advice and support to the Divisions and Corporate departments in relation to capital including leases.
* Manage the Trust's business case process, ensuring that all business cases follow the correct governance process.
Person specification
Qualifications
* Full Professional Accountancy Qualification - membership of a CCAB professional body with extensive post-graduate experience and extensive experience in management role.
Experience
* Superior knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
* Experience of capital budgetary control processes and methodologies.
Skills
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to prioritise/work to tight timescales.
