SEN Teaching Assistant - Level 2
Location: Nuneaton (CV11)
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am-3:30pm (5 days a week - must be flexible)
Salary: £85 - 90 a day depending on experience.
We are currently recruiting for SEN Teaching Assistants within a Special Needs School in Nuneaton. The school is a recognised alternative education provider dedicated to inspiring and supporting students from Early Years to Year 11.
This role involves working 1:1 with children with extremely challenging behaviour, Autism, ADHD, aggression, PMLD, looked after children, and those who are at risk of harm to themselves or others, as well as individuals with attachment difficulties.
About the role:
1. Providing 1:1 behaviour support to pupils with challenging behaviour and SEN requirements including ASD, ADHD, SLD, SEMH.
2. Implementing appropriate structures to manage challenging behaviour, always being pro-active and engaging.
3. Acting as a positive role model and providing nurture support.
4. Providing numeracy and literacy booster sessions out of the classroom.
5. De-escalating heightened and volatile situations.
6. You will be supporting across Primary ages between 11 to 19 years old.
7. Personal care is mandatory within this school.
8. Resilience and adaptability to deal with a variety of emotional and behavioural challenges.
Requirements:
1. Enhanced DBS Child and Adult Check - Must be on the update service. (We can assist you with a DBS if you do not have one)
2. 2x References are a must in order to clear your file with GSL.
3. Teaching Assistant - Level 2 Qualification or similar.
