The role of a Head of IT is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing THE Company's entire technology infrastructure and strategy. As Head of IT, you will be at the forefront of shaping the company’s Information technology direction. You’ll not only manage day-to-day IT operations but also help drive long-term technological innovation to support the company’s business goals. You will ensure that all IT systems, processes, and technologies align with business goals, drive innovation, and enable the Company to run smoothly.
About Ecovision:
Ecovision has extensive experience designing, installing and managing distributed rooftop solar PV asset portfolios across the UK.
We have installed over 5,500 systems and currently manage over 19,000 installations across the mainland UK (63MWp capacity). Our clients are primarily Portfolio Investors, Councils, and Housing Associations. We have a strong track record of managing long-term solar performance and work with clients to minimise operational costs while maximising renewable energy generation. What you’ll do:
Main Responsibilities
Responsibility for the IT services function
* Take ultimate responsibility for the IT services function. This will include developing and implementing IT strategies, managing all IT operations and ensuring technology aligns with business goals and objectives.
* Represent IT in the senior leadership team, identifying and implementing solutions quickly. Develop a 3, 6 and 12 month roadmap to support business growth and innovation.
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department. Manage IT infrastructure, to include, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all systems and services, monitor performance, troubleshoot issues and deliver IT projects on time and on budget.
* Act as the company’s main advisor on all IT matters and keep abreast of industry trends and technologies to ensure that the company maintains its competitive position.
System integration
* Manage system(s) integration between our cloud-based monitoring platform, salesforce CRM system, our fieldforce management APP and telephony systems.
Team collaboration
* Maintain excellent working relationships and service levels with all staff and manage all outsourced IT providers against contracts.
* Collaborate with other departments to provide quick solutions that meet their needs. There is a specific focus on field and office-based support and salesforce support.
Security and Compliance
* Manage security and compliance, to include, IT security policies and procedures, compliance with regulations, accreditation(s) and industry standards, identify and mitigate IT security risks.
Other duties
* The post holder may be required to undertake other reasonable adhoc duties as appropriate and requested by their Line Manager.
What you’ll need:
Skills and experience
IT Experience
* Degree or equivalent and relevant experience and/or qualification
* Extensive experience in IT management with a proven track record of success
* Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, salesforce, networking, security, cloud computing and systems interfacing
IT Service and Budgeting experience
* Be service orientated
* Experience of scoping, managing and successfully delivering IT projects
* Experience of creating, managing and delivering IT services against agreed budget
Solar PV technology knowledge (desirable)
* Some knowledge of current trends and advancements in Solar PV technology, from an IT perspective, with a particular appetite to learning and keeping up to date with advancements relating to installs and operations and maintenance of Solar PV.
Teamwork and communication skills
* Great interpersonal skills, numerical and analytical skills and the ability to work in a team
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Work across all seniority levels

Location: Ecovision, Pure Offices, Quedgeley, Gloucester. Commutable to the Head Office in Quedgeley, Gloucestershire
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Salary: £55,000 to £65,000 per annum
