The Role You will work as part of the technical team ensuring our world class products meet our standards, food safety and legal requirements. You will also build relationships and engage with external stakeholders to ensure all raw material and packaging is risk assessed and approved prior to use. The responsibilities of the role include; Management of supplier approval program on Foods Connected which meets the needs of the business and customer requirements. Manage the approval of all current & new ingredients to ensure that they meet legislative & customer requirements and are fully approved before product launch. To update and maintain micro, chemical & intake testing schedules and validation for all current and new raw materials in line with customer requirements and internal risk assessment. To maintain a supplier audit schedule based on customer requirements and internal risk assessment. Management of supplier performance ensuring that all supplier NCNs are closed out satisfactorily, to trend these monthly and to act on rising trends with suppliers, ensuring quality improvement plans are initiated and that these improve the quality within determined frequencies. Management of supplier based KPI performance in conjunction with procurement, development & sustainability teams Management of business horizon scanning; identifying potential supply chain risks, such as disruptions, contamination, or shortages, and developing contingency plans. Management of business RSPO compliance & continued certification Maintenance & overall management of Authenticate system to ensure continued compliance Completion & maintenance of Annual Schedule of Traceability & Mass Balance What it takes You will be educated to degree level with a food relevant degree, you will have strong communication skills and proven experience managing stakeholders. Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
