You will need to demonstrate a high level of craftsmanship and knowledge, be able to work alone on a wide range of equipment, and supervise others when needed. An eye for detail and quality is important to ensure we deliver the best for our clients.
Skills & Qualifications Required:
1. A time-served apprenticeship
2. Commercial gas qualifications including CODNCO1, CIGA1, CENWAT1, BMP1, CONGLP1, CCN1, HTR1, ICPN1, TCPCP1A, TPCP1, CORT1, CDGA1, MET4, and LPG qualification.
Some of the Duties Include:
1. Carrying out planned maintenance within plant room areas
2. Working around Central London, The West End, The City of London & home counties
3. Responding to reactive call outs and attending Energy Centre
Combustion Duties:
1. Servicing a wide range of commercial gas boilers from 250KW to 10 MW, following SFG & Manufacturers recommendations, whilst seeking to improve efficiency and reliability.
2. Servicing associated equipment such as gas boosters, plate heat exchangers, flues, gas detection/safety systems, etc.
3. Being a good problem solver with the ability to fault-find and rectify issues.
4. Carrying out small remedial projects including boiler replacements, pipework modifications, valve replacements, etc.
5. Managing subcontractors and the company's other technical resources.
6. Overseeing Health & Safety in line with our client's systems.
7. Developing quotations for additional works and repairs as required.
Work will be predominantly in Central London and in West Essex/East London (Ilford, Chingford, Walthamstow, etc).
Over the past 46 years, we have built many strong and long-lasting relationships with our customer base, including sites like Kew Gardens, London museums, MOD, Hospitals, Schools, etc. One of your first jobs will be to familiarise yourself with each site and get to know all the other engineers, as we work as a close team to help and support each other. You will help maintain a full and accurate PPM and asset management system, which we want all our engineers to be involved in, so you understand the importance of what we are trying to achieve.
