We are looking for a passionate and strategic Head of Science Communications to lead our efforts in elevating the science behind products and services, driving scientific credibility, and shaping our communications to support our health and wellness vision. The Role: As the Head of Science Communications, you will lead the development and execution of our science communication strategy, ensuring that complex scientific insights are communicated clearly and engagingly. You'll work across teams, helping to shape the future of science-led initiatives, and ensure scientific rigor is embedded in everything we do. Key Responsibilities: Lead and execute the science communication strategy, aligning with business objectives to drive sales and build credibility. Manage and mentor a team of scientists, overseeing project delivery and ensuring scientific rigor and credibility in all communications. Develop and communicate scientific content for internal and external audiences, including white papers, publications, and expert events. Partner with cross-functional teams to embed science in communication plans and ensure compliance with business goals. Position the company as a thought leader in the health and wellness space by influencing media and industry events. Maintain a credible scientific knowledge bank, ensuring consistency in messaging across all communications. Oversee the creation of engaging, science-led materials that resonate with consumers and uphold scientific integrity. Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, promoting open communication and collaboration. Location: This role is based in London, with the requirement to be in the office at least two days per week. The Person: PhD or post-graduate qualification in nutritional science, public health nutrition, or a related field. AFN Registered Nutritionist is desirable. Extensive experience in nutritional science or health and wellness, with at least 5 years in a line management role. Expertise in scientific communication with the ability to translate complex concepts into engaging content. Strong project management and strategic thinking abilities with a track record of delivering high-quality outputs. Proven ability to influence internal and external stakeholders and build effective working relationships. Experience in the health and wellness or FMCG industry, with a strong background in scientific communications and regulatory guidelines. Proficiency in digital tools and platforms to amplify the impact of science communications.
