A fantastic opportunity to join a well-established security company, with over 30 years' experience. They are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to manage the financial and contractual aspects of service and installation contracts. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, budgeting, contract administration, and ensuring value for money while maintaining compliance with contractual and regulatory standards. This role also includes managing cash collection, overseeing credit control, and leading a costing team to optimise financial performance

Main Responsibilities
Monitor contract costs, ensuring alignment with budgets and contractual agreements.
Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimize financial performance
Review and manage variations, claims, and contractual disputes
Prepare, submit, and manage applications for payment, ensuring compliance with contractual terms
Manage cash collection, ensuring timely payments from clients and reducing aged debt
Oversee credit control processes, working closely with finance teams to maintain a strong cash flow.
Ensure accurate measurement and valuation of completed work, including interim and final accounts
Lead and support the costing team, ensuring accurate and efficient cost reporting
Liaise with project managers, department leads, and procurement teams to ensure cost-effective solutions and accurate applications
Track and manage service-level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs)
Provide financial reporting and forecasting for ongoing and upcoming contracts
Knowledge and Experiences
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field
Professional certification (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is an advantage
Strong knowledge of contract law, service agreements, and procurement processes
Experience with cost estimation, contract negotiation, and financial reporting
Proficiency in managing applications for payments, credit control and cash collection
Experience leading or working closely with a costing team
Strong financial acumen, including cash flow forecasting and debt collecting
Excellent negotiation communication, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Experience in quantity surveying, preferably in service and installation contracts
