Role: Logistics Administrator
ALH Recruitment are looking to recruit a Logistics Administrator for a leading client in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.
Responsibilities:
1. Raising orders, managing and coordinating shipments, and managing accounts payable and receivable ledgers.
2. Processing orders, coordinating shipments, invoicing and regularly communicating with customers, suppliers, couriers, and colleagues regarding sales orders, shipments, payments, and invoice queries.
Logistics & Shipping Main Duties:
1. Scheduling and coordinating UK & International shipments, including preparing and submitting necessary documents and commercial invoices for customs clearance.
2. Managing all activities throughout the order fulfilment and transportation cycle, including instructing and working collaboratively with couriers and working closely with the warehouse team to ensure all orders are fulfilled to agreed timelines and standards.
3. Processing orders, allocating stock, raising Purchase orders and sending production orders.
4. Working closely with the Sales team to manage stock allocation, shipments and lead times on orders.
5. Working with and reviewing shipping documents such as Bill of Ladings, commercial invoices, packing list, certificates of origin, etc., ensuring that correct paperwork is in place.
Accounts Administration Duties:
1. Distributing supplier invoices to managers for approval.
2. Maintaining the Accounts Receivable ledger by processing and posting receipts, raising invoices, taking payments, and raising credit notes.
3. Ensuring all invoices are posted to the ERP System and correctly matching them to the corresponding GRN via the automated AP System.
4. Processing payments in the AP Module as instructed.
5. Processing and posting direct debits and other bank payments as requested into the general ledger.
6. Responding to inbound AP and AR enquiries.
7. Sending collection statements and working closely with the sales team to ensure quick and effective invoicing and debt collection.
8. Other reasonable administrative duties as required.
Experience:
1. Shipping & logistics: 2 years (preferred).
2. Experience with Customs regulations for International shipments/distribution.
3. Accounts Administration (Beneficial but not necessary).
Working Days and Benefits:
1. 35 hours per week.
2. Monday to Friday.
3. In person 5 days a week.
4. 25 days holiday, rising to 27 after 2 years service.

Ability to commute/relocate:
Huntingdon: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required).
