Job summary The Intensive Support Team (IST) are seeking a Lead Therapist/Practitioner, to join us based at Thomas Lewis House in Southampton. The team works with people with a Learning Disability who also present with complex challenging needs. The Intensive Support Team works across Hampshire and Southampton in conjunction with Community Learning Disability Services, in close collaboration with multiple agencies including Integrated Care Boards and Local Authority Adult Services. You will be joining a close-knit and supportive team, working with a number of professions within the team: Nursing, Psychology, Behaviour Specialist, Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy. Ideally, this role would suit an individual with a behavioural and/or therapeutic background. The post-holder will be responsible for a caseload and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team completing functional behaviour assessments and developing Positive Behaviour Support plans, as well as managing a team of clinicians. This would include the provision of clinical supervision for staff within own therapy group (i.e., OT or SLT) but also of other professions.
