About the role We are looking to expand our team with skilled and enthusiastic individuals to deliver a tunnelling project in the beautiful region of Snowdonia, North Wales. Our work will significantly enhance the visual impact of the area, burying a network of overhead cables and removing a number of pylons to restore and protect the natural beauty, wildlife and environmental heritage of this precious landscape. The project requires an additional Shift Engineers to assist with site preparation for TBM Assembly and launch (commencing early 2025) including planning and accepting of deliveries, survey mark out for work areas. You will carry out briefings such as Method Statements, Start of Shift, Safety Alert, etc. as and when required, and provide support to our Section Engineers, Sub-Agents, Agents and Supervisors alike to provide briefings, including ensuring compliance and acceptance of briefings by workforce. The role will require you to observe the ground conditions, monitor and review material in the STP and note any changes, significant or otherwise, and communicate to Sub-Agent/Agent and capture on shift report. About you You will set a high personal example of safety and will be qualified with an Engineering Degree/Higher National Certificate (HNC) or similar in a construction discipline. You must hold a CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card and have substantial experience onsite within the Civil Construction Industry. It is essential that you have a willingness to deliver presentation of records and completion of documentation and have a good understanding of quality, safety, and environmental methodologies. An IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) or SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) qualification would be beneficial but not desirable.
