Job Description:
As a Social Worker within the Cared for Team, you will be responsible for supporting children who are looked after by the local authority.
Your role will involve building strong relationships with children and young people, ensuring their needs are met, and working to achieve stable and permanent outcomes.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage a caseload of children in care, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.
2. Work closely with children, foster carers, and multi-agency professionals to develop care plans that meet the individual needs of each child.
3. Participate in care planning meetings, reviews, and multi-agency discussions to ensure the best outcomes for children.
4. Support children in care to achieve their full potential through education, health, and social care plans.
5. Advocate for the children's best interests and ensure that their voices are heard in all decision-making processes.
Qualifications:
6. Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
7. Significant experience in children's services, particularly with children in care or fostering/adoption.
8. Strong understanding of child protection, safeguarding, and care planning processes.
9. A passion for improving outcomes for children and young people.
