An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and dynamic nurse to join our team at the Haematology Day Unit at Prince Charles Hospital.
We are a small, friendly and experienced team, striving to deliver excellent patient care, working closely with our colleagues in the multidisciplinary team to ensure patients and their families receive care tailored to meet their individual needs.

The Haematology Day Unit is primarily nurse-led, and our experienced team will ensure that you are fully supported, providing the necessary training and a 4-week supernumerary period on initial appointment.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work closely with the existing team providing safe and efficient care to patients with a variety of haematological conditions.
The role includes phlebotomy, venesection, and cannulation. Following training, the role will include administration of chemotherapy, blood and platelet transfusions, immunoglobulins, and IV Iron.
The role will include providing advice and education to patients, relatives, and staff, ensuring cancer standards are adhered to as laid out in the Cancer Delivery Plan (2016-2020) and Cancer Delivery Plan 2023-2026.
The post holder will also perform local audits and incident reporting.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
