Job description Our client is a leading firm of Accountants and Business Advisers operating across the region. They are recruiting a Payroll Senior to manage the payrolls of a large number of the firm's clients. The Role • As a Senior you will have the ability and motivation needed to take ownership of your own portfolio • Manage the end-to-end payroll process and auto enrolment compliance for a portfolio of clients • Deal with payroll processing tasks • Develop relationships with the clients, ensuring effective communication with the wider offices, HMRC and other third-party providers • Review work produced by more junior team members and support the Payroll Manager • Leading by example in regards to attitude and processing of payrolls, so others in the team will follow suit • Being the first point of contact to assist and support the team in responding to queries from clients, HMRC, 3rd party providers etc. • Support in regards to legislation • Completing regular training for the team • Checking of payrolls What are we looking for? • Over two years’ experience in payroll • End to end Payroll processing experience including pensions, benefits and statutory payments • Ability to manually calculate a payroll • High level of accuracy and attention to detail • Ability to handle customer queries by telephone and email • Ability to work under pressure whilst meeting tight deadlines • In depth knowledge and understanding of payroll legislation, processing, and auto enrolment regulations • Ideally with a CIPP Foundation degree qualification or working towards this qualification For more information, please contact our Sheffield Team on (phone number removed) Verus Recruitment Partners are acting as a Recruitment Agency in relation to this vacancy and is an Equal Opportunities Employer Keywords: Payroll Senior, Payroll manager, Payroll clerk; Payroller, Payroll, Administration, Sheffield, Chesterfield, Doncaster, Rotherham, Worksop, Derbyshire, South Yorkshire
