Applications are invited for a Consultant Histopathologist to join a Trust that allows for the best possible balance between a stimulating career and a relaxing personal life. Our client is open to considering candidates looking for a substantive or fixed term position.
The successful candidate will play a full part in the provision of a diagnostic histopathology service to the Trust and contribute to the provision of a cancer pathology service for one or more anatomical sites, complementing the interest of the existing consultants.
This post offers the exciting opportunity to practice pathology to a high standard with supportive clinical colleagues. There are currently 9 other Consultants. The laboratory is UKAS accredited and deals with over 27,000 surgical cases and 200 non-gynae cytology specimens per year.
The hospital is based in a beautiful location with many areas of outstanding natural beauty, including the medieval heathland and forests of the High Weald. It is often referred to as ‘The Sunshine Coast' with it being regularly top of the UK list for locations that enjoy the most hours of sunshine in the UK.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise.
2. MRCPath/FRCPath or an equivalent level qualification.
3. Applicants must have entry on the GMC Specialist Register via CCT (proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of the interview date), CESR or European Community Rights.
4. For candidates who reside abroad, you must have completed the necessary IELTS/OET and/or PLAB 2 before applying. You must be able to satisfy the language test requirements for both GMC registration and UKVI remits.
