Job summary This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and grow a newly commissioned Community Rehabilitation Service for people with complex mental health needs. We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated, compassionate and dedicated Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to work as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team. The post holder would be an integral part of the leadership team and be involved in developing the service. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing multidisciplinary (including consultant OT and Psychiatrist, Peer Support Worker, Employment Specialist, Housing Support Workers, OTs, Mental Health Nursing and another psychological professional. The post also offers the opportunity of joining a growing team of supportive, compassionate and value-driven Psychological Professions across North Lincolnshire. There will be the opportunity to access appropriate training to further develop your skills and we also provide a protected half day per month to focus on ongoing training and professional development. Main duties of the job The postholder will offer a qualified clinical/counselling psychology service providing specialist psychological assessment and interventions, developing formulations and implementing evidence based interventions in line with NICE guidance. This post offers a valuable opportunity to develop skills in consultation to enhance psychological thinking in the team. A key role of the post-holder will therefore be to offer consultation and supervision, opportunities for reflective practice, alongside promoting staff wellbeing and resilience. They will be a key member of the Leadership Team working to ensure the delivery of high quality care and good team functioning/service development. They will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures. They will also be committed to the principles of recovery, have effective interpersonal and time management skills as well as being a responsive team player. The successful applicant will have Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology and be HCPC registered as a practitioner psychologist. The successful candidates will receive management supervision from the lead Psychological Professional in the community directorate and clinical supervision from a Senior Clinical Psychologist.
