This intervention tutor role will be ideal if you have previous experience of teaching, teaching assistant, SEN one-to-one or tutoring and are looking for some flexible work. This intervention tutor role involves: Working with children with Special Education Needs who need to provide face to face support to children with ASD, SEMH or PMLD at their homes, care homes or a local area e.g., library which can be agreed with the parents/ carers. Planning resources around the child’s needs, this could be on developing their knowledge in Maths, English and Science. Skills and experience on keeping the child engaged with task and ensuring they can access the learning. Managing behaviour and implementing a range of behaviour strategies. The SEN tutor roles are based in Nottingham and the surrounding area and can be accessed by road, bus and train. What we are looking for in intervention tutor: SEN experience (as teaching assistant, one-to-one or any other) Able to plan and deliver engaging, nurturing sessions. Applying skills to raise pupils’ confidence and learning. Experience with working with children with challenging behaviour. Checking that pupils are on track to achieve their desired learning outcomes and being able to provide feedback.
