What you'll be doing:
The Client Partner will be responsible for managing a significant relationship with a key NHS body, overseeing a portfolio of services with P&L accountability exceeding £15m. The role requires strategic leadership and the ability to deliver complex, large-scale solutions tailored to the evolving needs of the NHS. The Client Partner will drive client success, build long-term partnerships, and grow the business through proactive service delivery and opportunity identification.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationships & Stakeholder Management:
1. Cultivate and maintain a strong, strategic relationship with senior stakeholders within the NHS, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s long-term goals.
2. Act as the primary point of contact for escalations, working to resolve issues and ensure continuous client satisfaction.
3. Introduce innovative solutions and ideas that address the NHS’s critical challenges, driving engagement beyond the scope of current projects.
4. Manage commercial and contractual aspects, ensuring agreements meet both client and business objectives while adhering to NHS procurement guidelines.
Sales & Growth:
5. Identify and develop new opportunities within the NHS body, managing the sales pipeline to secure both new business and contract renewals.
6. Position the company’s services and digital capabilities to align with the NHS's strategic objectives, co-developing roadmaps for transformation and improvement.
7. Tailor value propositions to reflect the specific needs of the NHS body, demonstrating a clear understanding of their challenges and opportunities.
8. Proactively engage in driving renewals and contract expansions, ensuring a healthy balance of new business and relationship management.
9. Lead negotiations on pricing and commercial terms, ensuring mutual benefit while meeting financial objectives.
P&L Management & Financial Accountability:
10. Full P&L responsibility for the NHS client portfolio, managing a budget exceeding £15m and driving both revenue and margin performance.
11. Conduct regular financial reviews and adjust strategies to ensure targets are met, with an emphasis on profitability and operational efficiency.
12. Ensure robust work order coverage and provide clear accountability for financial outcomes.
Delivery Leadership & Team Management:
13. Oversee the delivery of services to the NHS body, ensuring that projects are executed on time and to the highest standard, aligned with the specific healthcare requirements.
14. Lead a distributed team, including offshore resources, to deliver high-quality outcomes while driving continuous improvement and innovation.
15. Work closely with internal teams to design solutions that meet the NHS's strategic and operational objectives, presenting proposals that align with their healthcare priorities.
16. Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging the team to find new ways to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction.
17. Ensure seamless management of operational processes, including objective setting, WBS setup, and timely reporting.
What experience you'll bring:
18. Proven leadership experience, with full P&L responsibility for portfolios exceeding £15m.
19. In-depth knowledge of the NHS, its organisational structure, and its operational challenges, with a track record of delivering large-scale solutions within the healthcare sector.
20. Strong commercial acumen, particularly in negotiating high-value contracts and managing long-term client relationships.
21. Expertise in managing distributed teams and leveraging Agile methodologies to deliver successful outcomes.
22. Demonstrated ability to drive business growth, manage sales pipelines, and exceed financial targets within a public sector environment.
23. Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with NHS executives and decision-makers.
