This vacancy offers the opportunity for Residential Care Officers to join an established core team of residential care staff working over two small residential houses within West Lothian on a locum/supply basis.
You will be working in a busy and supportive environment providing 365 day a year 24/7 care for a maximum of 9 young people aged 12-18 over two locations. You will work with potentially challenging young people to assist them to form personal attachments and develop resilience. You must have an understanding of the impact of trauma. You will be supported by 2 assistant house managers and one house manager.
This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
