This role will focus on the commercial business and will support the Head of FP&A, Group and the Director, FP&A in creating and reviewing the financial component of NATS business plans and project management of those plans. This role will support delivery of the wider finance vision, which seeks to shape the future of aviation as a trusted business partner focused on efficiency, collaboration and innovation. Other Duties Include: Provide significant input and analysis to the annual planning and rolling forecast process including assumptions setting, target setting, project management, complex financial analysis, preparation and presentation of plan outputs to senior management including the Executive. Represent the Head of FP&A, Group in their absence, developing a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of Group financial planning and analysis, particularly NATS Services financial management. Produce financial analysis, including critical variance analysis, to support all aspects of the financial planning process. Manage stakeholders in a matrix style through the business planning cycles, including but not limited to, Finance Business Partners, Finance Operations, Group Financial Control and Strategy and investment teams. Manage and perform appropriate quality checks to ensure accuracy, deliverability and consistency of the various plan elements. On behalf of the Head of FP&A, Group, lead on activities including pay modelling, complex analysis and ad-hoc project work as required. Provide task direction to the FP&A Analysts within the team, focusing on driving excellence in all activities. Essential Skills and Experience: The job holder should be a qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with experience across a range of financial positions, including financial planning, and significant post qualification experience. A conscientious, customer focussed approach to all forms of reporting. Confident to challenge the business and provide valued insight to inform and influence decisions at all levels of the organisation. Strong team working skills and able to co-ordinate multiple workstreams to tight deadlines under pressure. Able to bring focus on continuous improvement and delivering excellence. Strong communication and persuasion skills with the confidence to communicate and clearly explain complex financial issues at all levels within the wider organisation. Comfortable in debating and challenging larger teams to ensure financial integrity. Excellent IT skills, including advanced Excel, SAP/BPC and BI Tools (SAC/Power BI), Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
