RAFAKidz Shawbury Casual Early Years Practitioners
Casual Early Years Practitioners
Just like our children, our waiting lists are growing! In each of our 16 settings, we create experiences that are special, unique, and child-focused. Our staff are specially selected for their loving and caring nature, as well as their expertise. The needs of military families are unique, and at RAFAKidz, we take extra care to make sure those needs are met.
For every child that comes through the doors of RAFAKidz, no matter their ability, background, or circumstances, you could provide experiences and opportunities that will help them be confident and reach their potential.
What makes us different
By joining us as part of our RAFAKidz family, we make a commitment to your ongoing development and future career opportunities. (Please read our staff testimonials on our website!) We ask that you bring a positive, caring, and enthusiastic attitude, and in return, we will give you a great induction experience, training and development opportunities, and you’ll be learning on the job from amazing colleagues! You’ll be the first to hear of any permanent roles which suit your skills and experience should you be looking for something more permanent in the future.
About the role
Whilst previous experience within a childcare setting is desirable, it is not essential. We are looking for Casual Early Years Practitioners who have a genuine love of children, warmth, patience, and a great sense of humour! A typical day in the role will include (depending on your experience):
1. Being hands-on and creative with messy and outdoor play activities
2. Helping with meals and snack times
3. Keeping records on children’s progress and daily activities and adventures
4. Maintaining the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and hygiene
5. Meet and greet families and build great relationships
6. Be willing to learn from colleagues to understand EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage)
This post requires a satisfactory, enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check on appointment and every three years thereafter. As part of our inclusive culture, we encourage applications across all cultural backgrounds, genders, and abilities.
Closing date: Monday 17 February – interviews ongoing so please do not delay in applying, we’d love to hear from you.
