It is an exciting time for The Water Industry and for Stantec’s role within it. The scale of current and future investment in our urban drainage is unprecedented and at Stantec we are at the heart of supporting our clients across the UK in delivering at all stages of a project's life cycle to ensure they make well-informed and sustainable decisions.
You will join our established team based in the Southern region working on a variety of projects focused on catchment growth, identifying and reducing flood risks, and improving water quality for our clients alongside seeking opportunities for stakeholder engagement and partnership working. The work is centred around a thorough knowledge of urban drainage and its role within the wider water cycle and urban landscape.
You will deliver projects which improve water quality, manage urban pollution, and contribute to Stantec’s and our clients’ environmental commitments.

ABOUT YOU
To be considered for this opportunity you must be degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, or other relevant subject, and be a member of an industry-relevant institution e.g. ICE, CIWEM. You will have previous experience leading projects in an urban drainage environment. Successful candidates will demonstrate technical experience covering a wide range of urban drainage modelling activities and a full working knowledge of InfoWorks ICM.
You will provide guidance, training, and promote staff development and wellbeing within the discipline. You will assist with bids and the preparation of cost estimates within our project frameworks. The role will involve taking part in the planning, programming, and coordinating of urban drainage projects while ensuring delivery excellence, technical governance, and best practices are upheld. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills through report writing, developing and delivering presentations (external and internal), and making contacts in the industry.
The successful candidate will have experience in the management and development of staff as well as the ability to integrate well into a team and provide technical leadership to other modelling staff as a leader in an urban drainage environment with an excellent client service focus.
