Right Now Group are currently looking for an experienced Air Import Clerk to join our Client based in Heathrow.
You will be joining the Import department team for a Global Freight Forwarder focused on pharmaceutical and general freight movements.
As an Air Import Clerk you will be responsible for coordinating and executing the efficient movement of urgent time critical shipments by Air. Your expertise will be in managing time critical logistics and general cargo and ensuring these are Imported in an efficient manner.
Responsibilities of an Air Import Clerk:
* Prepare and process all necessary documentation for Importing goods via air, including customs clearance documents, import declarations, bills of lading and AWB's/HAWB's.
* Coordinate with airlines, shippers, overseas agents and other transportation providers to collect cargo, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.
* Provide detailed and profitable quotations.
* Serve as the main point of contact for customers, providing them with shipment status updates, addressing inquiries and concerns, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the import process.
* Collaborate with other departments within the company, such as operations, warehousing and finance to ensure smooth coordination of import activities and timely processing of shipments.
* Client invoicing.
* Customs entries.
The successful Air Import Clerk:
* Strong knowledge of, and at least 2 years of experience in 360 import operations relating to pharmaceutical freight movements and general cargo.
* Experience of Boxtop or ASM Sequoia.
* CDS Experience.
* CO AvSec trained (desirable).
* Excellent commercial awareness.
* Excellent communicator.
* Well organised.

Salary: £32,000 - £36,000
