Due to continued growth, our client is looking to employ a personable and motivated Technical Support Engineer to manage the service function and external service providers.
1. Support Sales team, external engineers, and customers with product information and technical support.
2. Attend customer sites to repair products in the field.
3. Train external service engineers as required.
4. Retro-fit equipment to fulfill customer orders.
5. Update and catalogue technical information in the central system for easy access.
6. Ensure proper documentation is submitted for parts used during work.
Role Requirements
* Excellent telephone manner and rapport-building skills with a diverse customer base.
* Ability to work calmly under pressure and handle challenging situations empathetically.
* Proficient IT skills, including Word and Excel; typing speed is essential.
* Knowledge of CAD systems and HTML is advantageous.
* Ability to understand and retain product information.
