As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be working collaboratively with the Cook and the wider catering team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen. Your responsibilities will include creating menus, plating up, arranging trollies, and ensuring that each resident's individual needs and preferences are catered for. You will need to be mindful of different religious and cultural backgrounds and how this might impact on meal choices. You will be the critical link between the kitchen and the serving areas, and you will be jointly responsible for ensuring that mealtimes are an enjoyable experience for the residents.

It is vitally important to continuously ensure that you are mindful and conscious of individual religious and cultural backgrounds and how this might impact on meal choices, alongside making sure that all our residents feel they have a personalised service.
As the critical link between the kitchen and the serving areas, you will be conjointly responsible for caring for our residents. The key focus is ensuring mealtimes run smoothly and are an enjoyable experience at Akari Care, where all of our residents' individual needs are catered for.
