Are you passionate about supporting children with autism and special educational needs? We are recruiting on behalf of a client for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team at a specialist autism school in Chelmsford.
About the Role:
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support students with autism, particularly those with complex learning needs and early language development.
* Assist in delivering tailored learning activities, ensuring student engagement and progress.
* Cover classes and small groups, preparing and delivering lesson content as required.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff to enhance student learning.
* Promote student independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you should:
✔ Have experience working with autistic children and SEN learners.
✔ Be confident in leading small group sessions and supporting individual student needs.
✔ Have strong communication and classroom management skills.
✔ Be adaptable, patient, and proactive in a dynamic school environment.
✔ Be willing to support students with personal care and physical needs when required.
