We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Specialist in Paediatric Dentistry to support our Level 3a paediatric dentistry services. You will collaborate closely with our Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry to provide exceptional care.
Key Bank Worker Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality, comprehensive dental care to the most vulnerable children within our special care dental service.
• Support and guide a Specialist Trainee in Paediatric Dentistry, enhancing their skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with the Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.
• Provide clinical supervision and offer constructive feedback to staff in training placements, shaping the next generation of dental professionals.

Key responsibilities
Clinical
• Provide a courteous and efficient service to all users by actioning all enquiries & queries accurately and promptly thus enabling patients, referrers and clinicians needs to be met / exceeded.
• Contribute to day-to-day supervision of the clinical work of non-specialist colleagues.
• Deliver the clinical protocols for all patients to ensure that processes and procedures in place conform to local and national standards.
• Undertake teaching and training for dentist, DCPs as well as support staff.
Quality Assurance & Safety
• Conform to Trust Clinical Governance procedures and policies.
• Contribute to clinical audit/clinical governance.
• Undertake continued professional development and be aware of any new clinical developments, and to keep regularly updated skills and clinical practice.
• Undertake any training necessary to fulfil duties of the bank work including statutory and mandatory training in basic life support, fire training and data protection.
Administrative
• Attend service meetings as necessary.
• Carry out the necessary administration associated with clinical work.
• Produce effective communication with all users of the service including
referrers.
• Provide specialist support for the specialist trainee, senior dental officers, dental officers, dental therapists and to act as a focal point for referrals.
Main tasks
Clinical Responsibilities
a) Participate in issues such as clinical effectiveness relating to patient
management and share in the administrative tasks in the Service and Division where appropriate. You will be expected to undertake mandatory training in line with the requirements of Trust.
b) Participate in issues such as clinical effectiveness relating to patient

c) Whilst on shift, deliver clinical supervision of non-specialist dental staff as a shared responsibility and act as Clinical Supervisor for the Paediatric Specialist Registrar.
