Ever thought of being a Kitchen Sales Designer? If so, then Benchmarx Kitchen and Joinery would love to hear from you! You don't need to come from our sector or have product knowledge; we will provide you with all the training and development you need. Benchmarx may have only been established in 2006, but we're already a major supplier to the UK's building and construction market.
Where will you be working?
This Part Time Kitchen Sales Designer opportunity is based at our new West Swindon Benchmarx showroom on Caen View, Rushy Platt, Swindon, SN5 8WQ. Based within our busy Travis Perkins branch, this Benchmarx branch has a team of 6 colleagues providing exceptional advice and service to our customers. Customer footfall is strong, and the workplace is a busy one! Your working hours will be Monday - Friday 7.30am - 5.00pm and Saturdays 8am-12pm (working 2 in 4 Saturdays).
Hours of working: This is a part-time role working 30 hours per week. We are open from 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 12 Midday every Saturday. We are open to discussing the hours of work regarding this 30-hour working week opportunity.
What’s in it for you?
We will provide you with Computer Aided Design (CAD) training, all the product knowledge, support, and development you need to become a successful Kitchen Sales Designer.
Starting salary from £26.5k, pro rata - depending on experience. Plus uncapped commission; in your first year, you could be earning an OTE of £32-35k.
22 days holiday + bank holidays, that’s 6 weeks annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays).

What will you be doing?
Our most successful Kitchen Sales Designers come from a variety of different sectors and backgrounds, but they all have one thing in common: they deliver an exceptional ‘Customer Experience’. Our customers are traders and homeowners, so with your newly learned knowledge of our products and trained design skills, here’s a snapshot of branch life at Benchmarx:
1. Working with homeowners and trades professionals, you will produce accurate designs and quotes in a professional and timely manner to truly understand their project and create their dream kitchen.
2. Building a strong network of customers around you to ensure you meet sales targets, you will also work closely with the external and internal stakeholders regarding customer requirements.
3. Not all customers come into the branch, so you will regularly visit our customers’ homes or building sites, where you will draw up inspirational designs on CAD and present them to the customers.
4. Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, so your aim will be to ensure that our colleagues and customers leave the Showroom safely by adhering to all stay safe policies and procedures.

You’ll be methodical and tenacious in your approach, being meticulous in terms of design to convert sales.
You’ll have great communication skills and be able to talk to a diverse set of individuals, establishing great, long-lasting relationships.
You’ll have a friendly and outgoing personality, with the drive and energy to succeed. Being a strong self-starter, you will also enjoy working collaboratively with your colleagues.
