Our client is seeking two SEN Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Oxford. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment, providing essential assistance to students with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students with SEN.
* Assist in delivering tailored interventions to support learning and development.
* Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans).
* Use strategies to support students with communication, emotional regulation, and social skills.
* Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
* Support students in both classroom-based and outdoor learning activities.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children with SEN (preferred but not essential).
* A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or SEN support is desirable but not required.
* An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
