Our client, a rapidly expanding accountancy practice based in Boston, is seeking a Client Manager to join their team based in the Boston office. The Client Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining and expanding client relationships, managing a diverse portfolio, and contributing to the overall growth and development of the practice. The role initially focuses on successfully managing an existing portfolio, with plans for future expansion.

Key Responsibilities:
Client Portfolio Management: Manage finances of the portfolio, ensuring the achievement of monthly billing targets, monitoring recoveries, overseeing debt recovery processes, and providing accurate financial forecasting.
Review VAT returns, personal tax returns, partnership returns, limited company, and sole trader accounts.
Staff Development & Office Management: Assist in the management of the office, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and best practice.
Identify training and development needs for junior staff, ensuring these are facilitated and effectively addressed.
Escalate developmental issues and progression requirements to senior management.
Encourage the development of a strong, improvement-focused mentality within the team.
Business Development & Client Engagement: Identify opportunities for growth within existing client relationships, increasing portfolio size and contributing to business development across the service line.
Undertake regular client visits to ensure high levels of satisfaction and promote positive client engagement.
Monitor account performance, identify growth opportunities, and report on progress.
Team and Practice Management: Involved in practice and workflow management for the entire team, ensuring efficiency and effective collaboration.
Play a role in strategic planning and client relationship management to align with business goals.
Provide on-the-job coaching and continuous development for team members. Skills & Experience Required:
Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years’ experience within an accountancy practice background. Ideally, you will be ICAEW or ACCA qualified.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and sound accounting system knowledge; experience with Iris software is beneficial.
Organisational Skills: Methodical approach to workload management for both self and others; ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
Personal Attributes: Strong organisational skills, a flexible and solutions-oriented mindset, and a personable approach with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Client & Team Management: Ability to build and maintain strong client and team relationships and be open to developing team methods and skills.
Location Flexibility: Ability to travel to the Spalding office as required. Benefits:
