As a Lawyer in the Children and Adults legal team, you will handle your own caseload of adult social care work, which will include Court of Protection work encompassing s21A challenges to Standard Authorisations, s16 welfare applications, and streamlined cases. You will also provide support to the Client Affairs Team, assisting with more complex Deputyship cases before the court, and deal with debt recovery litigation focusing specifically on the area of adult social care debt.
You will receive the support of an experienced Legal Officer and Lead Lawyer while benefiting from overall supervision from the experienced Senior Lawyer for the team.
We are looking for qualified and admitted solicitors, barristers, or legal executives, ideally with experience and knowledge of children’s social care law. You may have experience in crime or family law with the determination to face challenges and adapt to an unfamiliar area of expertise.
Excellent communication, the ability to work in a high-pressure environment, and an open and honest approach to management are all qualities we are looking for in our Lawyers.
This is a fantastic career opportunity for those looking to progress within a team that values staff and has a developed career structure.
You will be supported and mentored by a highly experienced team of professionals in a friendly, open, and honest environment. As a service, we strongly encourage the progression and development of our employees. We have both the technology and the commitment to allow our employees to work flexibly and efficiently.
