WHAT TO EXPECT
The Finished Vehicle Distribution department is responsible for the movement of new Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles to retailers and customers in over 100 markets worldwide. We organise, manage and monitor the movement of every vehicle produced globally. This ensures that delivery takes place in a timely and efficient manner, whilst maintaining the highest build quality levels possible.
Manging our operations and supplier base, as well as developing our current and future distribution strategy, are key to delivering a Customer First service to our markets, retailers and customers worldwide. Your contribution will help manage our existing operations, whilst transforming and developing solutions for the future.
As a Finished Vehicle Distribution Co-ordinator, you'll need to develop strong relationships with regular interaction across the various departments within JLR and external customers. You will be a key player in the Finished Vehicle Distribution department, working to implement the introduction of new and improved quality solutions. You will be a self-starter who is able to demonstrate initiative and a passion for excellence in order to provide a premium service.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
* Support Distribution Quality team in achieving annual damage target (R/1000).
* Support the development and implementation of processes and procedures.
* Promote damage prevention and continuous improvement via lessons learned and the use of best practice.
* Develop departmental reports, forecasting, KPIs, and process mapping.
* Work closely with Service Providers & internal quality stakeholders to identify and deliver new damage prevention technologies.
* Support the launch of new vehicle programmes through vehicle assessments and analysis.
* Work with Vehicle Programme teams to understand and assess impact of new models on FVD.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
* Experience of problem-solving and an ability to drive issues to resolution.
* Ability to quickly understand and challenge processes.
* Experience of process development and process mapping.
* Ability to work individually or as part of a multi-functional team and to work both strategically and at a detailed level.
* Experience in analysing big data using tools such as Rapidminer, Tableau, Google Cloud Platform or Business Objects.
* Full UK Driving License.
