Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and making a positive impact on their learning experiences? We are looking for a dedicated Special Educational Support Worker to join our caring and inclusive school community in the Aylesbury area.
As a Special Educational Support Worker, you will work alongside teachers and other staff members to support students with a range of special educational needs. Your role will be vital in helping students overcome challenges and succeed academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, both individually and in small groups.
2. Assist in the delivery of personalised learning plans, ensuring each student's unique needs are met.
3. Help students with learning activities, promoting independence and encouraging positive behaviour.
4. Support students in overcoming barriers to learning, including communication, social interaction, and personal development.
5. Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents, helping to track achievement.
6. Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment where all students feel supported and valued.
What We're Looking For:
1. A genuine desire to support children with special educational needs.
2. Previous experience working with children, particularly in a support or educational setting (desirable but not essential).
3. Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
4. Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to the needs of individual students.
5. A proactive and flexible approach to supporting students in the classroom.
6. Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, are desirable.
