Job summary The postholder is responsible for the management of a defined patient caseload under supervision of a Band 6 Urology CNS. The jobholder carries continuing responsibility for the assessment of care needs, development, implementation and evaluation of care for patients. The postholder will contribute to the development of the speciality service in line with Band 6, Team leader and Urology Matron direction, ensuring a cost-effective use of resources within LTHT. The role of the Urology Nurse is semi- autonomous (to work independently but with full CNS team support) and covers four main clinical areas: case load management, clinical practice, education and research. With the appropriate support and training, we expect the individual to provide care for patients in line with Trust and Government strategies and targets. In collaboration with senior staff, the post holder will assist in the support of research, audit and quality assurance projects.
